James, Paul named Players of the Week
Mar 23, 2009 - 8:57 PM NEW YORK (Ticker) -- Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James again was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week.James became the first player in history to win the award seven times in a season. The superstar also was honored for the second straight week and 20th time in his career.
In four games during the week, James averaged a double-double with 30.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, 7.8 assists, 2.3 steals and 1.0 blocks.
The Western Conference award went to New Orleans Hornets point guard Chris Paul, who averaged 28.5 points, 9.5 assists and a league-best 4.5 steals in leading his team to a 3-1 week.
