Spurs C Oberto to miss two games

Mar 27, 2009 - 5:29 PM SAN ANTONIO (Ticker) -- San Antonio Spurs center Fabricio Oberto will miss the team's next two games due to an irregular heartbeat.

Oberto felt abnormal sensations in his chest Thursday. He underwent an EKG by the team's medical staff and was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation. A cardioversion restored his heart to its normal rhythm.

For the next four days, Oberto will undergo daily EKG exams to confirm that his heart maintains its normal rhythm.

If the tests are normal, Oberto is expected to be available for a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday. He is averaging 2.7 points and 2.7 rebounds per game for San Antonio.
