Magic F Turkoglu out with ankle injury

Dec 10, 2006 - 1:23 AM ORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) -- Orlando Magic forward Hedo Turkoglu will miss 10 to 14 days after suffering a Grade 2 right ankle sprain Friday night.

Turkoglu was carried off the court during the first quarter of Friday's 87-83 home loss to Detroit. He landed awkwardly on a rebound attempt with 1 1/2 minutes remaining in the period.

A seven-year veteran from Turkey, Turkgolu is averaging 9.8 points and 3.3 rebounds this season. In his third campaign with Orlando, he is shooting a team-high 35 percent from 3-point range.

Keith Bogans started in place of Turkoglu in Saturday's game against Philadelphia but left with a sprained right ankle in the first period.
