Cavaliers release G Snow
Apr 5, 2009 - 3:20 PM CLEVELAND (Ticker) -- The Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday made what the team termed the medically necessary release of guard Eric Snow.Snow suffered what ultimately became a career-ending injury to his left knee just prior to the start of the 2007-08 NBA season. He has not practiced or played this season.
"We appreciate all that Eric has done for the Cavaliers both on the basketball court and in the community. Eric is a tremendous competitor," Cavaliers general manager Danny Ferry said. "He had a very successful playing career and I look forward to watching his broadcasting and coaching careers unfold."
Snow, who turns 36 later this month, averaged 6.9 points and 5.0 assists in 846 games with Seattle, Philadelphia and Cleveland.
