Arkansas G Britt suspended after arrest

Jun 2, 2009 - 12:48 AM FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.(AP) -- Arkansas guard Marcus Britt has been suspended indefinitely by the team after he was arrested over the weekend for driving while intoxicated.

The Times-Herald newspaper of Forrest City reported Monday that the 21-year-old Britt was stopped at 2:40 a.m. Saturday after failing to stop for a stop sign.

Britt's blood-alcohol content was .113 percent. The legal limit in Arkansas is .08 percent.

A check of Britt's record revealed he had an outstanding failure to appear warrant from 2007 for a speeding ticket.

He was charged with first-offense DWI, driving with a suspended license, no insurance, failure to appear and running a stop sign.

He averaged 3.7 points per game last season.
