Glover let go, Taylor leaves Badgers after arrest
Sep 17, 2009 - 12:35 AM MADISON, Wis.(AP) -- Wisconsin freshman Jeremy Glover has been kicked off the men's basketball team after being arrested last week on charges of burglary and possession of stolen property.Glover and fellow 18-year-old freshman teammate Diamond Taylor were suspended from the team after campus police say they responded to a call of an attempted burglary at a dorm on Sept. 6.
Authorities say they saw the two leaving the building, and confiscated iPods, a cell phone and more than $400 in cash. Glover and Taylor are scheduled to appear in Dane County Circuit Court on Monday.
A school spokesman said Wednesday he couldn't comment on Taylor's status, but several reports say the scholarship player has withdrawn and will not face further disciplinary action from the university.
No one has shouted yet.
