Hogs' Welsh misses exhibition game on suspension
Nov 3, 2009 - 8:03 PM FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.(AP) -- Arkansas guard Stefan Welsh was suspended for the team's first exhibition game and coach John Pelphrey didn't say how long the senior would be out of the lineup.Welsh started 24 games last season.
Pelphrey did not say why Welsh is suspended. He said Welsh has worked very hard in school and in practice lately.
Arkansas beat Dillard 77-59 in its first exhibition game Monday night.
Welsh was not one of the three Razorbacks named in a recent rape complaint. A local prosecutor decided not to file charges in that case, saying there wasn't enough evidence.
No one has shouted yet.
