Harris leads No. 15 Michigan in exhibition

(AP) -- Manny Harris scored 25 points and Zack Novak had 15 to lead No. 15 Michigan to a 73-54 victory over Wayne State on Friday night in an exhibition game.The visiting Warriors took an 11-9 lead with just under 12:30 remaining in the first half. Michigan went on a 16-4 run and never looked back.
Bryan Smothers had 17 points to lead Division II Wayne State, while Ike Udanoh scored 14.
The Wolverines are ranked in the preseason Top 25 for the first time since 1996.
Michigan earned an NCAA tournament bid last season for the first time since 1998, and returns its top six scorers.
The Wolverines open the regular season Nov. 14, at home against Northern Michigan.
