Cal State Bakersfield downs Utah Valley 58-51
Nov 18, 2009 - 5:34 AM BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(AP) -- Trent Blakley and Santwon Latunde each scored 18 points as Cal State Bakersfield defeated Utah Valley 58-51 Tuesday night.The Roadrunners (1-1) trailed 31-28 at halftime but outscored the Wolverines (1-1) 30-20 in the second half.
Latunde was 6 of 9 from the field and 6 of 7 from the free-throw line. He also had nine rebounds for Bakersfield.
Justin Baker led Utah Valley with 10 points. Tyray Petty added nine points and 11 rebounds, and Jourdain Scoubes had nine points and five rebounds.
Neither team shot well from the field. Bakersfield hit just 20 of 62 field goal attempts (32.3 percent), while Utah Valley was 19 for 49 (38.8 percent).
