Gonzaga player has foot surgery
Mar 11, 2010 - 7:18 PM SPOKANE, Wash.(AP) -- Gonzaga forward Mangisto Arop (Uh-raup') has undergone successful surgery to fix a broken left foot and will miss the postseason.Arop suffered a broken fifth metatarsal in Sunday's West Coast Conference tournament semifinal win over Loyola Marymount. The surgery pinned the bone to help the healing process.
Trainer Jennifer Nyland said he will be sidelined for about eight weeks.
Arop came off the bench in all 31 games, averaging 3.5 points and 3.8 rebounds.
