IPFW signs men's hoops coach Fife to extension

Mar 26, 2007 - 7:16 PM FORT WAYNE, Indiana (Ticker) -- Indianapolis-Purdue at Fort Wayne on Monday reached an agreement with men's basketball coach Dane Fife on a contract extension through 2013.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Fife has compiled a 22-35 record in two years as coach of the independent school, which will move to the Mid-Continent Conference next season.

"Two years ago, I took this job with the goal that we would take this program to new heights," Fife said. "While we made great strides, the job is far from finished. I am thankful for the commitment that IPFW has made to us and by accepting this extension, I am reaffirming my pledge to help transform IPFW men's basketball into a first-rate program."
