Syracuse's Waiters to enter NBA Draft
Mar 26, 2012 - 11:25 PM Syracuse, NY (Sports Network) - Syracuse guard Dion Waiters will enter the NBA Draft.The Big East Conference sixth man of the year said that he planned to hire an agent, officially forgoing the opportunity to retain eligibility should he go undrafted.
"I want to thank my coaches and my teammates. I've had an amazing experience at Syracuse University," Waiters said in a release issued by Syracuse. "I also want to thank all the Syracuse basketball fans. They are the best in college basketball."
The sophomore led the Orange in steals per game, averaging 1.8, and finished second in scoring at 12.6 points per game as Syracuse won a school-record 34 of its 37 contests.
