Delaware State's Bright pulls out of NBA draft

Jun 18, 2007 - 9:50 PM DOVER, Delaware (Ticker) -- Delaware State swingman Roy Bright announced on Monday that he has withdrawn his name from the NBA Draft and will return to Dover for his senior season.

Bright was the co-Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Player of the Year after finishing as the Hornets' leading scorer and rebounder with 15.5 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. He helped the team to its third straight regular-season championship.

"Roy tested the waters but has decided to return for his final year of collegiate competition," Delaware State coach Greg Jackson said. "We welcome his return because he is definitely a strong competitor and he will give us the needed leadership."

The NBA Draft will be held in New York on June 28.
