Grinnell's Taylor scores 138 points
Nov 21, 2012 - 5:10 AM Grinnell, IA (Sports Network) - Jack Taylor netted an NCAA-record 138 points in Grinnell's 179-104 win over Faith Baptist Bible on Tuesday.The 5-foot-10 sophomore took an astonishing 71 shots from beyond the arc and made 27 of them. He was 52-of-108 from the field overall.
Taylor had 58 points at halftime.
Bevo Francis of Rio Grande held the NCAA single-game scoring record with 113 against Hillsdale in 1954.
The Division III school, Grinnell, has led the nation in scoring in 15 of its last 17 seasons.
