Arkansas' Young declares for NBA Draft
Mar 28, 2013 - 10:20 PM Fayetteville, AR (Sports Network) - Arkansas sophomore guard BJ Young has declared for the 2013 NBA Draft, according to a press release from the school.Young had submitted his name to the 2012 NBA Draft, but withdrew and decided to the Razorbacks. This past season, he averaged a team-high 15.2 points per game and also led Arkansas with 102 assists.
"I met with BJ and his father today and BJ expressed his interest to enter his name in the NBA Draft," said Arkansas coach Mike Anderson. "This is his dream and as a coach I encourage him to pursue that dream. I gave him the pros and cons of his decision and he chose to enter the draft. BJ has become a well- rounded player, leading us in scoring and assists, and he became a more active rebounder."
Young has been named to the All-SEC second team in each of his two seasons with the Razorbacks.
