Albany extends Brown's contract
Aug 30, 2013 - 12:21 AM Albany, NY (Sports Network) - The University of Albany has extended the contract of men's basketball coach Will Brown for five years, through the 2017-18 season.Brown led the Great Danes to a 24-11 record last season and a title in the America East Tournament. Albany lost to Duke in its opener of the NCAA Tournament.
Brown is the longest-tenured coach in the AEC. Since taking over the Albany program in 2001-02, Brown has compiled a record of 172-191. He's won three AEC titles, which is tied for the most all-time in the conference.
