UNLV F Goodman to leave program

Oct 20, 2013 - 3:55 AM Las Vegas, NV (Sports Network) - Following an offseason felony charge for burglary, UNLV sophomore forward Savon Goodman will not play another game for the Runnin' Rebels.

Goodman allegedly stole $500, a pair of shoes and 26 video games from a Las Vegas apartment. He was charged on Aug. 15 in Las Vegas Township Justice Court with conspiracy to commit burglary, burglary and grand larceny. The latter two are felonies.

On Aug. 24, UNLV head coach Dave Rice announced that Goodman would be suspended for the 2013-14 season.

Goodman, originally from Philadelphia, averaged 3.6 points and 2.4 rebounds in just over nine minutes per game as a freshman.

"I respect Savon's decision (to transfer) and will always be here to support him," said Rice. "I wish him all the best."
