Louisville G Jones dismissed from team
Feb 22, 2015 - 9:11 PM Louisville, KY (SportsNetwork.com) - Louisville senior guard Chris Jones has been dismissed from the basketball program, the school announced Sunday.Jones, who transferred to the Cardinals from Northwest Florida Junior College, was suspended on Feb. 17 for an unspecified violation of team rules. He missed one game before the suspension was lifted, then scored 17 points in 36 minutes off the bench in Louisville's 55-53 win over Miami on Saturday.
Jones was averaging 13.7 points, 4.0 rebounds and a team-high 3.6 assists per game this season for the No. 12 Cardinals.
Freshman Quentin Snider started in Jones' place each of the last two games and is expected to be the team's starting point guard going forward.
