Kansas F Alexander out vs. Texas

Feb 28, 2015 - 9:35 PM Lawrence, KS (SportsNetwork.com) - Kansas freshman Cliff Alexander was kept out of the lineup on Saturday against Texas because of an NCAA issue, the university announced.

"The NCAA has alerted us to an issue that could affect Cliff's eligibility," Kansas athletics director Sheahon Zenger said in a statement. "As a precautionary measure Cliff will not take the court until we have resolved the issue."

Alexander was expected to make a big impact this season, but the former McDonald's All-American hasn't lived up to the hype. He's averaging 7.1 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, but has only scored two points over his last three games.
