Cincinnati G Gentry has head injury
Dec 13, 2007 - 2:11 AM CINCINNATI (Ticker) -- Cincinnati guard Marvin Gentry had to be taken off the court on a stretcher in Wednesday's contest at intracity rival and No. 17 Xavier after getting hit in the head.The 6-3 senior was motionless on the court for a handful of minutes after his head collided with teammate Jamual Warren's left knee while diving for a loose ball with 12:56 remaining in the second half.
The fourth-leading scorer for the Bearcats at 8.4 points per game, Gentry did display some movement in his extremities, giving a thumbs-up with his right hand as he was carted off the court.
