North Carolina F Hansbrough leaves game with injury
Dec 17, 2007 - 3:54 AM PISCATAWAY, New Jersey (Ticker) -- North Carolina forward Tyler Hansbrough left Sunday's contest against Rutgers with an apparent concussion late in the second half.The Atlantic Coast Conference Preseason Player of The Year attempted to take a charge from Rutgers guard Earl Pettis when his head slammed against a photographer's knee at the base of the basketball support behind the hoop.
The junior Hansbrough stayed down for a few minutes before being helped to the locker room, walking under his own power.
Hansbrough had 20 points and 11 rebounds in the contest and was not taken to the hospital for further observation.
