Utah G Drca suspended for one game
Feb 1, 2008 - 12:47 AM COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (Ticker) -- Utah guard Luka Drca was suspended one game by the Mountain West Conference on Thursday for striking an opponent.A sophomore from Serbia, Drca hit an opposing player with an elbow with 11:05 remaining in the first half of the Utes' 74-58 victory over TCU on Saturday.
Drca will miss this Saturday's road game against Colorado State, the only winless team in the MWC at 0-6.
Utah (11-8) is 2-4 in league play after losing four of its last five games.
On the season, the 6-5 Drca has averaged 4.1 points, 3.3 assists and 2.4 rebounds in 18 games as a reserve.
