LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Southern California freshman forward Davon Jefferson reportedly will not declare for the upcoming NBA draft.
Jefferson has opted against hiring an agent and wants to return for his sophomore year at USC, according to a report published Friday by the Los Angeles Times.
Citing an anonymous source, the newspaper also reported that Jefferson will not attend a pre-draft camp next May in Orlando, Florida.
"(Jefferson) is not declaring for the draft," the source told the paper. "He has not hired an agent, nor will he hire an agent. He looks forward to going back to USC and is 100 percent committed to the team."
USC's athletic department did not comment on the report when contacted by PA SportsTicker.
The Trojans' second-leading scorer, Jefferson enjoyed a terrific freshman campaign, averaging 12.1 points and 6.3 rebounds in 29 games.
The 6-8 Jefferson likely would have been selected in the second round of next June's NBA draft.
