Freshman F King to transfer from Duke
Apr 1, 2008 - 2:40 AM DURHAM, North Carolina (Ticker) - Taylor King, one of Duke's three prized freshman, has decided to transfer, the school announced on Monday. The 6-6 forward opted to leave the Blue Devils despite playing in all 34 games during the season, averaging 5.9 points and 2.0 rebounds in 9.7 minutes per game. However, King's playing time towards the end of the season was sliced dramatically, getting no more than six minutes in each of the team's last six games.
"Taylor is a solid young man and has the ability to be a good player," Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski said. "We support him in his decision to transfer and wish him the best of luck in the future."
It is unknown where King, a native of Huntington Beach, California, will transfer.
