Report: Lopez twins declare for draft
Apr 1, 2008 - 4:34 PM SAN FRANCISCO (Ticker) -- Stanford sophomores Brook and Robin Lopez have apparently decided to go pro.According to report Tuesday from the San Francisco Chronicle, the 7-foot twins will give up their final two years of college eligibility and enter the NBA Draft.
Brook Lopez, a projected top five pick in this June's draft, was expected to go pro after this season. The forward averaged 19.3 points and 8.2 rebounds this season.
Robin Lopez, who averaged 10.2 points and 5.7 rebounds this season, is a potential first-round selection but will likely be picked well after his brother.
The twins, who just turned 20, led the Cardinals to a 28-8 record this season and their first two NCAA Tournament victories in four seasons. They had both said before that they wanted to go to the NBA in the same year.
