0 shoutsTUSCALOOSA, Alabama (Ticker) -- Freshman guard Rico Pickett has been suspended indefinitely from all basketball-related activities at Alabama.
Crimson Tide coach Mark Gottfried announced the suspension in a statement Sunday night, citing Pickett's failure to comply with team rules.
"We have standards and levels academically as well as athletically that our student-athletes need to meet, and there are consequences when they fail to do that," Gottfried said.
A 6-3 guard, Pickett averaged 5.9 points for Alabama while starting 20 of 29 games.
