Xavier G Lavender arrested
Apr 7, 2008 - 8:58 PM CINCINNATI (Ticker) -- Xavier University guard Drew Lavender was arrested Sunday and charged with disorderly conduct while intoxicated and possession of marijuana.Police say Lavender, 23, was drunk and disorderly after they asked him to move out of a Cincinnati street intersection.
The 5-7 senior was "highly intoxicated," and police found marijuana on him when he was searched.
Lavender was released after his $2,000 bond was posted and is due to appear in court on May 2.
Lavender, who played his first two seasons at Oklahoma, averaged 10.8 and 4.5 assists per game for the Musketeers, who finished 30-7 and reached the "Elite Eight" before losing to UCLA.
