Auburn allows C Heramb to transfer

Apr 11, 2008 - 11:03 PM AUBURN, Alabama (Ticker) - Center Matt Heramb has been allowed to transfer from Auburn, the school announced Friday.

The 6-9 sophomore appeared in 27 games this season, averaging 3.0 points and 1.4 rebounds. He also shot 52 percent (30-of-58) from the field.

"Matt has been granted a release from his scholarship," Tigers coach Jeff Lebo said. "I appreciate what he has given to Auburn the past two years, and we wish him the best in the future."

After scoring all of 23 points as a freshman, Heramb tallied a career-high 17 points and hit three 3-pointers against Alabama State on November 16.
