MANHATTAN, Kansas (Ticker) - Losing freshman sensation Michael Beasley was not the only bad news for Kansas State fans Monday.
Redshirt freshman Bill Walker announced he will follow the footsteps of Beasley and enter the NBA draft.
Unlike Beasley, who is expected to be one of the top two picks in the draft, Walker said he will not hire an agent, which leaves open the possibility he will return to Kansas State.
The 6-6 Walker averaged 16.1 points and 6.3 rebounds to help the Wildcats to a 21-12 record and their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 12 years.
The presence of Beasley overshadowed the exploits of Walker, who scored in double figures 25 times, including three 30-point games, and four double-doubles.
Walker was one of the nation's top recruits entering Kansas State, but he tore his ACL just six games into his freshman season.
