George Washington dismisses two players
May 8, 2008 - 1:27 AM WASHINGTON (Ticker) -- Cheyenne Moore and Miles Beatty were dismissed from the George Washington men's basketball team Wednesday.Coach Karl Hobbs did not specify the reasons for throwing the players off the team.
"Certain expectations are placed on our players both on and off the court," Hobbs said. "They did not meet those expectations. Both Cheyenne and Miles were given every opportunity to succeed here at GW. I wish them both the very best in the future."
Moore, a junior forward who had transferred from Clemson, averaged 5.1 points and 1.9 rebounds in two seasons with the Colonials.
Beatty, a freshman guard, averaged 4.8 points in 14 games last season.
