Tennessee F Childress to undergo knee surgery

Jun 12, 2008 - 7:01 PM KNOXVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- Tennessee forward Ryan Childress will require surgery on his right knee after getting injured in a recent pickup game, the school announced Thursday.

The 6-9 senior will undergo the surgery early next week, with his timetable for return to be determined by the Tennessee medical staff thereafter.

Appearing in 25 games last season as a reserve, Childress averaged 2.3 points and 2.4 rebounds.
