Tennessee F Childress undergoes knee surgery
Jun 18, 2008 - 12:17 AM KNOXVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- Tennessee forward Ryan Childress underwent successful surgery on his right knee, the school announced on Tuesday.The 6-9 senior will be released from the university's hospital Wednesday and is expected to begin rehabilitation immediately. There is no timetable for his return.
Childress suffered the injury while playing in a pick-up game last week. He averaged 2.3 points and 2.4 rebounds in 25 games off the bench last season for the Volunteers.
