Indiana F Taber to undergo knee surgery
Aug 27, 2008 - 1:54 AM BLOOMINGTON, Indiana (Ticker) -- Indiana forward Kyle Taber will undergo knee surgery on Wednesday and is expected to be sidelined for 10 weeks.A senior, Taber injured his knee last week. He red-shirted for the 2004-05 season with a knee injury as well.
"This is very unfortunate for Kyle," Indiana coach Tom Crean said. "He has been a strong presence and has done things the right way for us since we arrived here. We will move forward and help him through his rehabilitation and look to him to provide us with the leadership that is expected from a fifth-year senior at Indiana."
Last season, Taber averaged 1.3 points and 2.5 rebounds in 22 games - four starts.
