Miami G Rios suspended indefinitely
Dec 2, 2008 - 11:23 PM CORAL GABLES, Florida (Ticker) -- Miami guard Eddie Rios was suspended indefinitely on Tuesday, prior to the team's matchup with Ohio State in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.The sophomore was penalized for a violation of unspecified team rules.
Rios has appeared in all five games - four starts - for Miami this season, averaging 6.0 points and 1.4 rebounds. The 6-foot Rios was dropped out of in the starting lineup in the Hurricanes' 79-65 win over Stetson on Saturday, scoring six points in 11 minutes.
No. 22 Miami (4-1) will be participating in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge for the third time, playing in both 2005 and 2006. It has lost each of its two previous showings.
