Littell named Oklahoma State women's hoops coach
Dec 10, 2011 - 1:36 AM Stillwater, OK (Sports Network) - Jim Littell, who was the associate head women's basketball coach for the past six years at Oklahoma State, has been named the head coach.Littell was tabbed as interim head coach following the tragic plane crash on November 17 that took the life of head coach Kurt Budke, assistant coach Miranda Serna, the pilot and another passenger.
"Kurt Budke laid the foundation for this program," Littell said. "It is our goal to continue his vision for Oklahoma State women's basketball. We know that many challenges await us, but we are excited about the future of our program."
Prior to joining the Cowgirls, Littell led Seward County (Kan.) Community College to its first Region VI title in 1999 and followed up with regional titles in 2002, 2004 and 2005.
