Arkansas' Smith held out at No. 1 Florida
Oct 17, 2009 - 7:51 PM GAINESVILLE, Fla.(AP) -- Arkansas running back Michael Smith, the team's leading rusher, will not play at top-ranked Florida.Smith tweaked his right hamstring last week against Auburn. He rushed for 145 yards in the 44-23 victory.
He came out in full pads during pregame warmups Saturday in Gainesville and moved around without any noticeable problems. But coach Bobby Petrino opted to keep him sidelined against the Gators.
Smith has 50 carries for 325 yards and two touchdowns this season. Dennis Johnson started in his place.
