N Texas hires Canales as offensive coordinator
Jan 29, 2010 - 4:58 PM DENTON, Texas(AP) -- North Texas has hired Mike Canales as its offensive coordinator.Canales was the offensive coordinator at South Florida the past three seasons, and at Arizona three years before that. He also coached receivers for the NFL's New York Jets and was quarterbacks coach at North Carolina State when Philip Rivers was there.
Canales replaces Todd Ford, who is leaving to become the head coach of a new high school in Round Rock, Texas.
