Florida redshirt freshman DT accused of battery
Feb 15, 2010 - 3:41 PM GAINESVILLE, Fla.(AP) -- Florida redshirt freshman defensive tackle Gary Brown is accused of misdemeanor battery in a dispute at a party near Gainesville.Brown was charged with two counts of misdemeanor battery Sunday morning. Jail records indicated that bond had not yet been set for the 19-year-old, but he was expected to appear before a judge Monday.
According to an arrest report, Brown is accused of striking two women who were trying to kick people out of a party.
One woman told investigators that Brown slapped her in the face, while the other said he slapped her arms, causing scratches. Neither victim required medical attention.
It is unclear if Brown has an attorney.
No one has shouted yet.
