Ark. QB's injury to keep him from spring practice
Feb 18, 2010 - 2:50 AM FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.(AP) -- Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett is expected to miss spring practice after sustaining a broken bone in his left foot.Officials said Mallett's injury occurred during conditioning drills Wednesday morning. He is expected to fully recover in three to four months.
Mallett completed 225 of 403 passes for 3,624 yards and 30 touchdowns during the 2009 season, when the Razorbacks went 8-5. He led the Southeastern Conference in total offense (276.5) and passing yards per game (278.8).
Coach Bobby Petrino said last month that Mallett underwent a procedure on his left shoulder, which is not the arm he uses to throw.
No one has shouted yet.
