McNeese State's Young carted off vs. LSU

(AP) -- McNeese State punt returner Reynaldo Young was carted off the field after what appeared to be a severe right ankle injury in the third quarter of the Cowboys' game at LSU on Saturday night.Young mishandled a punt and an LSU player rolled up on his leg during a scramble for the ball along the sideline.
McNeese State retained possession when the ball rolled out of bounds, but Young appeared to be in severe pain as trainers from both squads worked to stabilize his ankle and then wheeled him off the field.
Young is a true freshman from Garyville, La.
No. 9 LSU was leading 22-10 at the time of the injury.
