Former Ole Miss QB transfers to SE Louisiana

Jun 29, 2011 - 9:41 PM Hammond, LA (Sports Network) - Former Ole Miss quarterback Nathan Stanley has transferred to Southeastern Louisiana and is eligible immediately, Lions football coach Mike Lucas announced Wednesday.

Stanley, a 6-foot-5, 215-pound junior from Tahlequah, Okla., will have two years of eligibility remaining at the Southland Conference school.

Stanley completed 28-of-55 passes for 424 yards and four touchdowns in two seasons at Ole Miss.

"We felt like we could use another quarterback with game experience and we're excited about having the opportunity of adding Nathan to our program," Lucas said. "We're glad that he can be here for the remainder of summer classes so we can get him out there and throwing with our players and get him acclimated to our program before (fall) camp starts in August."
