Jury finds UCFAA negligent in player death

Jul 1, 2011 - 8:09 AM Orlando, FL (Sports Network) - The UCF Athletics Association was reportedly found negligent in the death of football player Ereck Plancher.

The Orlando Sentinel reported that the jury awarded his parents $10 million after deliberating for five hours Thursday, the 14th day of the wrongful death trial. The report said the jury determined UCFAA failed to do everything possible to save Plancher's life.

Plancher died in 2008 after offseason conditioning drills on the school's campus.
