Dartmouth to host Penn under the lights
Aug 4, 2011 - 7:22 PM Hanover, NH (Sports Network) - The first ever night game under the new lights at Memorial Field will take place when Dartmouth hosts Penn Oct. 1, opening kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m.Football has been played at Dartmouth since 1881, but the program has never hosted a game at night, a venture that is now possible for the first time this season.
The seven lights that have been installed above Memorial Field are funded by Chris Jenny, Class of 1977, and his wife, Andi, along with other donors through the Friends of Dartmouth football.
It will also be the Ivy League contest of the season for both teams.
