Murray State's Barnett may play two ways
Sep 30, 2011 - 12:00 PM Murray, KY (Sports Network) - Fans at the Jacksonville State-Murray State game on Saturday should see a lot of senior Dexter Barnett in the home team's lineup.Barnett has started at wide receiver in Murray State's first four games, but due to some injuries in the Racers' lineup, he is scheduled to be a starting cornerback against Jacksonville State. It is possible he will get significant playing time on both sides of the ball.
The 5-foot-10, 175-pounder, a former UAB transfer, ranks third on the Racers' team with 13 receptions for 149 yards.
Murray State is 2-2 overall and 1-1 in the Ohio Valley Conference. Jacksonville State, the OVC preseason favorite, is 3-1 and 2-0, and ranked 14th in The Sports Network/Fathead.com FCS Top 25.
