UMass suspends defensive tackle for UNH game

Oct 19, 2011 - 5:17 PM Amherst, MA (Sports Network) - The University of Massachusetts has suspended redshirt freshman defensive tackle Ryan Delaire for Saturday's game against New Hampshire because of a personal foul he drew in a victory against Delaware last weekend.

"After discussions with head coach Kevin Morris and a review of the game footage, we have decided to suspend Ryan for the New Hampshire game," UMass director of athletics John McCutcheon said in a statement Thursday.

Delaire has five tackles and one quarterback hurry this season.

No. 22 UMass (4-2) and No. 13 New Hampshire (4-2) will meet in the Colonial Clash at Gillette Stadium.
