Auburn RB Dyer suspended, will miss bowl game

Dec 12, 2011 - 12:38 AM Auburn, AL (Sports Network) - Running back Mike Dyer will miss Auburn's bowl game later this month after being suspended indefinitely for violating team rules, a university athletics spokesman confirmed Sunday.

Dyer, a sophomore, has rushed for at least 1,000 yards in both of his college seasons at Auburn, including 1,242 yards and 10 touchdowns this year.

The school didn't specify what rules he broke.

Auburn (7-5) will play Virginia (8-4) in the Chick-fil-A Bowl on New Year's Eve.
