Report: Petersen gets new deal at Boise State
Jan 4, 2012 - 6:27 AM Boise, ID (Sports Network) - Boise State head coach Chris Petersen has reportedly signed a new contract that will keep him on the Broncos' sideline for another five years.Per the Idaho Statesman, Peterson agreed to a five-year deal that will pay him at least $2 million per season. The agreement still needs to be approved by the state board of education.
Petersen is 73-6 in six seasons as the Broncos' head coach, including a 12-1 record this past season that ended with a victory over Arizona State in the MAACO Bowl Las Vegas.
Boise State has twice gone undefeated during Petersen's tenure.
