Murray State extends Hatcher through 2015
Jan 5, 2012 - 10:38 PM Murray, KY (Sports Network) - Murray State has agreed to a two-year contract extension with head football coach Chris Hatcher through 2015."Coach Hatcher is very deserving of this contract extension," director of athletics Allen Ward said Thursday. "He's done a tremendous job leading our football program, brought excitement back to Stewart Stadium, and built a team in a short period of time that can compete with the best in the OVC and the FCS."
In two seasons at the Ohio Valley Conference school, Hatcher has posted a 13-9 record, the first back-to-back winning seasons for the program since 1999-2000.
In addition to the upgrade on the field during Hatcher's tenure, Murray State has received upgrades to its locker room, player's lounge and video facilities.
