SE Louisiana's Roberts adds familiar coordinators

Jan 10, 2012 - 7:36 PM Hammond, LA (Sports Network) - New Southeastern Louisiana University football coach Ron Roberts announced Tuesday the additions of Greg Stevens as offensive coordinator and Pete Golding as defensive coordinator to his program.

Both coaches served in those capacities under Roberts in each of the past two seasons at Delta State. Roberts was named Southeastern Louisiana's head coach on Dec. 19

Stevens has a previous coaching stop in the Southland Conference, serving three seasons as Stephen F. Austin's offensive coordinator from 2002-04.

Golding is a native of Hammond who played at Delta State before coaching there.

It's been a busy week for Southeastern Louisiana football. On Monday, the university announced a $525,000 upgrade to the turf at Strawberry Stadium and later Roberts announced two mid-year signings to the Lions' recruiting class, defensive back Tiray Dove from Jacksonville, Fla., and ASA College, and wide receiver Roosevelt Morrisset, from Miami and Northland Community College.
