Iowa RB Coker withdraws from school
Jan 10, 2012 - 10:42 PM Iowa City, IA (Sports Network) - Iowa sophomore running back Marcus Coker, who led the team in rushing last season, has asked for and been granted a release from his scholarship.The school made the announcement Tuesday, saying Coker withdrew his application to enroll in spring semester classes.
Coker rushed for 1,384 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2011, but he was suspended for the Insight Bowl due to a violation of university policies.
